Threat Systems Engineer

Description: As technical analyst, you will be supporting the customer’s Director of Engineering as part of the Threat Systems Engineering Team. You will serve as a key member of the technical analysis team which is responsible for writing software to analyze flight test trajectories to ensure the target systems are flying in a threat-representative manner. You will also be responsible for researching threat systems so we can create a representative target system.

Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s in engineering or computer science. Must be proficient in MATLAB, Java, or C#. Must have a basic understanding of ballistic missile trajectories: strong interpersonal skills: experience with Microsoft Office Suite. It’s a plus if you have experience with Radar Frequency (RF) signatures and/or experience with version control software. Must possess or be able to obtain a government clearance.

 

Software Engineer

Description: As an advanced engineer, you will be supporting the customer’s Chief Engineer in identifying and resolving technical issues associated with the production, sustainment, and future development of a missile-based weapon system. You will also review performance, reports, and deliverables from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to assess and report status to the Chief Engineer. The qualified candidate will have the ability to work closely with Warfighter personnel and be capable of representing the customer during coordination and meetings within and external to the Project Office.

Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s in engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university and minimum of 10 years of experience with missile systems. Must possess the ability to work independently, have strong interpersonal skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess or be able to obtain a government clearance.

 

Principle Systems Analyst

Description: The Ground Based Midcourse Defense Program Office is seeking a Principle Systems Analyst to support the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (GME) in the requirements division (GME-R) in all aspects of requirements development. Primary duties will include developing new requirements for system enhancements; reviewing current requirements; conducting some requirements analysis to ensure current requirements are valid; drafting information/decision papers and briefings, and generating staff coordination packages for GMD actions.

Qualifications: 15+ years Systems Engineering experience in defense industry. Experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GM) Program Office. Capability to develop and present briefings related to specifications and requirements to peers and senior management-level personnel. Strong system analysis background, including systems engineering and integration responsibilities at system or component level. Be well versed in all aspects of requirements development for a systems engineering organization. Understand how requirements are flowed down from system specifications to elements specification. Have a working knowledge of DOORS and how to trace requirements through the DOORS system. Understand the design review and requirements review process. Excellent written and verbal skills as well as exceptional MS office skills. Must possess or be able to obtain a government clearance.

 

Senior Systems Engineer

Description: The Ground Based Midcourse Defense Program Office is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for full-time, direct support the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate. (GME) of the GMD Joint Program Office (JPO). Provide support to GMD integration in Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and all aspects of systems engineering and program activities in a system engineering organization. Primary duties will include flight test planning & design; developing flight test scenarios, engagement parameters and preliminary designs for evaluating flight test feasibility for long term test planning; reviewing trajectory analysis, FT timelines and propose alternative scenarios; partnering with GME Analysis division to provide analysis guidance; conducting special studies as required (e.g. expanded ICV) for flight testing and systems engineering topics; developing Test Objectives with rationale for GMD upcoming Flight Tests; providing briefs for Sr. Management reviews of objectives (TRR, ETRR); developing detailed test requirements and providing comments to prime contractor developed test requirements; providing systems engineering support at element design and development reviews; developing and maintain sufficient understanding of the GMD system and the functions of the GMD components to support technical discussion.

Qualifications: 10+ years Systems Engineering experience in defense industry. Experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GM) Program Office. Capability to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel. Strong Test design background at system or component level. Experience identifying technical, cost and schedule issues/risks/opportunities and providing associated impact assessments and proposed mitigation/implementation plans to senior leadership. Ability to coordinate with multiple groups of senior Government leadership. Ability to interact with senior level Active Duty Service Members. Be well versed in Flight Test Planning and design. Must possess or be able to obtain a government clearance.
